Is food our greatest collective opportunity to achieve Agenda 2030?

On Monday 16 July, the Nordic Food Policy Lab and the Swedish Government hosted a dinner event during the UN High-level Political Forum in New York. The event, Serving Up Solutions to Agenda 2030: Food as a Golden Opportunity, focused on putting solutions on the table and learning best practices from one another.

I was brought in to assist in the concept development and the ensure that the event was a success. Based on the initial feedback that we have received so far, the event exceeded expectations and presented a variety of different food policy solutions from an array of contexts.

The event was developed to provide time for “dinner time” conversations as well as three thought-provoking discussions led by journalists and representatives of top philanthropic organizations.

For more about the event, check out this article that we wrote about the main takeaways from the evening. We are also working on developing a more robust document featuring the main takeaways from the event. This will be out in August, so stay tuned
